What are our plot wines?
The plot wines are produced from a specific plot from our vineyards, with which we can guarantee the highest quality of the wine. The number of bottles produced is determined by the size of the plot of the vineyard from which the grapes are harvested. That is why even when processing grapes, we know with great accuracy the number of bottles that we can produce from a given place. Each bottle has an individual number, proving its uniqueness. Our limited series consists of: Limited edition Riesling, Premium Rose and Limited edition Sauvignon Blanc.
Characteristics of the Syrah (Shiraz) variety
Historically, there are several versions of the origin of the variety. Some ampelographers positioned it in the Middle Ages, when the variety was brought to France from the Iranian city of Shiraz. Others claim that this happened in the 3rd century by the Roman emperor Probus. Others believe that the cheese originates from the city of Syracuse in Sicily. But regardless of its origin, the fact is that the variety is one of the most planted worldwide. And one of the most aristocratic, because of its “strong” taste characteristics, combined with finesse and fruitfulness.
According to the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV), Syrah / Shiraz is the eighth most common grape variety with its 190,000 hectares. His homeland France has the most plantations – 64,000 hectares, followed by Australia with 40,000 hectares and in third place is Spain with 20,000 hectares. The plantations with Syrah in Bulgaria are a little over 1,000 hectares.
